Celestine AI is a free pilot tool built to help mothers across the United States find government benefits, programs, and local resources they qualify for. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

1. What Information We Collect

When you use Celestine AI, we collect only what you voluntarily provide during the intake process:

• Your first name
• Your email address (optional — used only to send your results)
• Your state of residence
• Your zip code
• General information about your situation (housing status, employment status, income range, household size, children's ages)
• Sensitive categories you may select: disability or chronic health conditions, safety concerns (including domestic violence situations), and military or veteran status
• Feedback you voluntarily submit (star rating and optional comment)

We do not collect your Social Security number, government ID, date of birth, full address, bank account information, or any other sensitive financial data.

2. Consent

Before your information is stored, you are asked to check a consent box confirming that you agree to data storage and anonymous aggregate reporting. Your data is only stored after you actively consent. If you do not check the consent box, your information is not saved to our database.

You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us at the address below to request deletion of your data.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information you provide is used solely to:

• Generate a personalized list of benefits and programs you may qualify for
• Send you an email with your matched programs and apply links (only if you provide an email address)
• Improve the Celestine AI tool based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns
• Understand how many people are using the pilot and what needs are most common

We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party, advertiser, or government agency.

4. Who Has Access to Your Data

Only Claudia Brizendine, the founder of Celestine AI, has access to individually identifiable data. Aggregate, anonymous reports (showing only counts and trends — never individual records, and only when at least 10 people share a data point) may be shared with nonprofit and government partners to demonstrate community needs.

5. Service Providers (Data Processors)

To operate Celestine AI, we use the following trusted service providers. Each processes your data only as needed to deliver the service:

• Netlify — Hosts the website and stores form submissions (intake data and feedback). Netlify Privacy Policy
• Supabase — Our primary database. Stores intake answers (separated from contact information for privacy) with encryption at rest (AES-256) and row-level security. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — Our AI technology provider. To generate personalized program recommendations, the following fields are sent to Anthropic's API: your first name, state, zip code, urgent needs, children status, employment status, housing status, income bracket, household size, disability/safety selections, and military/veteran status. Anthropic processes this data according to their API terms and does not use it to train models. No government IDs, Social Security numbers, or financial account numbers are ever sent.

6. Data Retention

Pilot data is retained for up to 12 months after the pilot program concludes, then permanently deleted. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at the address below — we will process your request within 30 days.

7. Data Security

We protect your information with:

• Encryption in transit: All data sent between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS (TLS 1.2+)
• Encryption at rest: Data stored in our database is encrypted using AES-256
• PII isolation: Your name and email are stored separately from your intake answers
• Access controls: Row-level security policies restrict database access to authorized server-side functions only
• No tracking: We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or tracking pixels
• IP privacy: IP addresses are hashed (one-way) for rate-limiting purposes — we never store raw IP addresses

8. AI-Generated Results

Celestine AI uses artificial intelligence to prioritize and explain the benefits programs matched to your situation. All program names, URLs, phone numbers, and eligibility details come from a verified database — the AI does not generate these.

While we work hard to ensure accuracy, AI systems can make mistakes. Program eligibility rules, benefit amounts, and application links change frequently.

Always verify program information directly with the official program administrator before making any decisions. Celestine AI is a starting point, not a guarantee of eligibility or benefits.

9. Cookies & Tracking

Celestine AI does not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. Netlify, our hosting provider, may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type) for security and performance purposes. We do not use this data to identify individual users.

10. Children's Privacy

Celestine AI is designed for adults (parents and guardians). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we have collected from you
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Opt out of any future communications
